Thomas Edward Chorba

Thomas Edward Chorba, age 38, of Philadelphia and formerly of King of Prussia, passed away on Friday, November 4, at home. Thomas was born in Norristown and was the son of Robert Chorba and Susan Cahill Chorba. He was also the brother of Michael Chorba(Sara Matyiko), Stephanie Chorba, and Andrew Chorba and the uncle of Lainey and Landon Chorba. Thomas was a graduate of Upper Merion High School, Class of 1996. While at Upper Merion, he was on their swim team as well as the Upper Merion Marlins swim team. After graduation, he went on to become a heavy equipment operator. He worked with backhoes, forklifts and graders in the construction and landscaping fields. He was employed by Russo Landscaping, Gary Biddle Contracting and his Uncle George Chorba in Gettysburg. Thomas enjoyed snowboarding and especially camping at Raystown Lake with friends. He also loved the Chorba family and friends Christmas parties. Many will remember him with his four-legged friend, “Buster”. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service on Saturday, November 12, 10 a.m. at The Bernard S. Gutkowski Funeral Home, 305 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, Pa., 19405, 610-275-6385, where the family will greet guests after 9 a.m. Interment will be private. Instead of flowers, gifts, or donations, Thomas would like everyone to spend some extra time with your loved ones, and be sure to include your pets!
