William Walsh Obituary

Willam G. Walsh, Jr. age 74, of Bala Cynwyd, retired president of Commonwealth Relocation Services and its subsidiaries, died peacefully in his home Sunday morning January 20, 2013. Mr. Walsh devoted his career to Commonwealth Land Title Insurance for 40 years, and retired in 2000. Son of the late William G., Sr and Frances O'Neill Walsh, he was born in Philadelphia on June 4, 1938. Mr. Walsh was raised in Bala Cynwyd and graduated from Malvern Preparatory School and Villanova University. He served in the National Guard. He taught real estate law at both Temple and Drexel Universities and was past treasurer and long time member of the Philadelphia Board of Realtors. He is survived by his loving wife, Marina R. Walsh; his daughters Marina Lisa Walsh (Valter Castelvetro), Frances E. Salsano Walsh (Giango), Kathleen M. Walsh (Thomas Ripsam), and nine grandchildren; dear brother of Frances E. Muldoon (Grant), Eileen M. Golden, and the late Ann T. Klinges, Marie Louise Campanale and Rosemary F. McNear. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on January 26th at 12 pm, St. Matthias Church in Bala Cynwyd. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing at the church from 9:30 am until 11:45 am. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken. Memorial contributions may be sent to the St. Matthias Sanctuary Fund, 128 Bryn Mawr Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
