Ann Exall Obituary

Ann M. Exall, age 83 of Malvern, died Monday, July 30, 2018 at our local hospital. She was born Anna Marie Lindvall on November 29, 1934 in Malvern to the late William L. Lindvall, Sr. and Kate Potts Lindvall. Reared and receiving her early education in Malvern, Ann later graduated from Draughons Business College. During her career as a bookkeeper, she worked for Malvern Brick and Tile, Acme Brick, and Reynolds Metals. In 1974 she married John S. Jack Exall, Sr. He preceded her in death in 2001. Ann was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was the church librarian and Sunday School superintendent for many years. She participated in many ministries of the church, especially with the children, who she loved. Ann was a member of Chapter BC, P.E.O.
She is survived by two sons, William Blair Exall and his wife, Misty, and John Stuart Exall, Jr., all of Portland, Oregon, her granddaughter, Hallie Exall, and by numerous cousins, including Anna Boyd Lindvall, and Evelyn Phelan of Malvern, Joy Jackson Pennington of Hot Springs, and John Jackson of Malvern. She is also survived by her loving companion Scooter. Ann was also preceded in death by her brother, William L. Bill Lindvall, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at one oclock Saturday afternoon, August 4, 2018 in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church with Reverend Bruce Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Johnny Gibbs, Shawn Purifoy, Steve Efird, Lew Waniewski, Bob Rowe, Jimmy Wright and Jim Rice.
Honorary pallbearers are: Phil Clem and Shirley Jones.
Memorials are requested to First United Methodist Church, 127 East Page Avenue, Malvern, Arkansas 72104.
