Condolences to the Bailey family. I have known Edward since I was a young child. My parents owned Grissom Glass Shop which was close to your home. I spent lots of time at the shop and soon made friends with Edward, Billy Earl Jones and Gloria. I enjoyed visiting with him during his time on faculty at MHS. He always had a smile, a positive comment and was a gentleman. I watched the 3 girls grow-up and their accomplishments through the years. Edward was a proud father, he loved to have a brag every now and then when we had a minute between classes. I was so glad that he was elected to the School Board and was looking forward to seeing him fairly often. I was friends with your grandmother and Edward got her sense of humor. She was a special lady. Julia, I am sorry I didn't have the opportunity to get to know you like I did the rest of the family. Being a faculty member of Malvern Schools put me in the perfect place for me to stay in touch with the family. I got to know Laura fairly well, although we got to know her as Doll. Carmen ,I have known you for sometime, however I don't see you like I used to. Traci, do you know that Henrietta came to my office to tell me about your birth and she wanted to know how I spelled my Traci's name. She liked the why I spelled it and wanted to make sure she got it right. Latrice, you were a joy in school always smiling and polite to everyone. Michelle, I feel like you were part of my family. Your Dad was at the high school by then and always had something to tell me about your day. He kept me up to date with all 3 of you because he was a proud father and he knew that I cared about his family. Edward was a good man, and I have some many fond memories of him and the family. Edward will be greatly missed. Thinking of you'll during this difficult time.
