Joyce Hanshaw Obituary
She was born August 31, 1939 in San Ysdiro, California to the late Frank and Ida Belle Henderson. She married Morris Hanshaw on May 5, 1956. Joyce was a caregiver and homemaker who was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and musical talent, which she used to serve the Lord. She taught Sunday school for many years, often bringing neighborhood children to church with her Joyce is a member of Midway Missionary Baptist Church.
Joyce was preceded in death by her son Van Hanshaw (Brenda) and is survived by her children Cathy Mackey (Bob) of Midway; Gary Hanshaw of Midway; Brian Hanshaw (Diane) of Haskell; Karen McFadden (Harold) of Cabot, brothers Bob Henderson (Betty) of Prescott Valley Arizona; Don Henderson (Jan) of San Diego, California; David Henderson (Beverly) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sisters Annabelle Moseley (Orville) of Oakdale, California; Carol Cooper of Soldotna, Alaska; Janice Pendley (Bob) of Tolleson, Arizona; twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern, Arkansas on Thursday, June 8th from 5-7 pm.
Funeral will be Friday, June 9th at 10:00 am at Midway Missionary Baptist Church, 1236 Midway Rd, Donaldson, Arkansas with interment at Neighbors Cemetery in Midway with Bro. Fred Etheridge officiating.
Pallbearers are Greg Parish, Jeremy Smith, Justin Whorton, Daniel Hanshaw, Donnie Cannon, and Alan Cook.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Foundation 6465 South Yale Avenue, Ste. 312, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74136-7804.
