Nathan Charles Butt

Nathan Charles Butt, 18, of Poyen passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas the son of Frederick Charles and Angelia Kaye Harrison Butt. He was a senior at Poyen High School (Class of 2022) and a member of the Poyen Football Team. Nathan was attending Master Class welding classes, was a Black Belt in Taekwondo and was planning on joining the United States Air Force after graduation. Nathan was a member of the Poyen Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, David Butt Sr., Willie Wilson and James Harrison and great-grandmothers, Rachel Hahn and Ardieth Winget.

Survivors are his parents, Fred and Angelia Butt; brother, Cole Wesolowski (Allison) all of Poyen; grandmothers, Beverly Butt of Malvern and Billie K. Wilson of Poyen; uncle and aunt, David and Regina Butt, II of Bismarck; great Uncle and aunt, Fred and Jenny Butt of Pine Bluff; very special friends, Charlie and Keri Martin of Malvern; cousins, D.J. Butt, Anne Butt, Tristin Phillips (Lynsi), Austin Phillips (Abby) and Prestin Phillips and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, from 6-8PM at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 2PM Thursday, April 7, at Poyen Sports Complex Arena with Brother Bobby Goodknight and Brother James Green officiating. Pallbearers are Cole Wesolowski, D.J. Butt, Cody Samples, Tristin Phillips, Ashton Heath and Charlie Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be coaches, staff and players of the Poyen High School Football Team.

A memorial fund has been set up at Southern Bancorp.
