Neva Sesser Sullivan, age 94, left her earthly home and entered life in Heaven on July 6, 2024 at Encore Health and Rehabilitation,
Malvern, Arkansas. She was born December 2, 1929 to the late Henry Martin and Leatha (Kline) Sesser. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Neva married the late Wilbur H. Sullivan on January 20, 1984 who predeceased her on May 16, 2008. They enjoyed many years traveling the United States and abroad. She was the tenth of ten children born to her parents. Her great joy was being with her family, church family, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, four brothers, Eueal, Jewell, J.D. and Dail Sesser; five sisters: Opal Stanley, Jennie Rucker, Christene Hultquist, Allie Mae Sesser and Eloise Bollen.
Neva had an unwavering faith in God and was a devoted member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, the Disciples of Christ Sunday School class, the Super Seniors and the church mission group. She had formerly served as Church Clerk, Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member.
Neva graduated from Malvern High School in 1947 and Henderson State University in 1952. She retired from Magnet Cove Public Schools. She was also a member of Arkansas and Hot Spring County Retired Teachers Association and Hot Spring County Arkansas Historical Society.
She is survived by two daughters: Karen Hollinger (Wade) of Richmond, Kentucky and Krista Litchfield (Jeff) of Antonito, Colorado. Three grandsons: U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Martin Croft (Melissa) of Suffolk, VA, Daniel Hollinger (Kara) of Conway, AR and John Hollinger of Little Rock, AR. One step granddaughter Amanda Litchfield Farmer (Josh) of Forney, TX. Six great-grandchildren, Clint and Conor Croft, Addison, Elliott, Riley and Walker Hollinger and three step great-grandchildren Mckinley, Kyler and Kolbie Farmer and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
One of Neva's great joys in life was being wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 1-2pm, with the funeral service starting at 2pm, at Regency Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Carroll Koon officiating. Burial to follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers are grandsons and nephews: Daniel Hollinger, John Hollinger, Larry Sesser, Nolan Sesser, Ron Stanley and Michael Clayton. Honorary pallbearers: Staci Caver, Mike Jared, Mark Kindy and Bruce Burton, MD.
The family would like to thank the staff at Encore Health and Rehabilitation and the caregivers at Gentiva Hospice for their care and compassion.
