Obe Willix

1958 - 2025

Obe Willix, 65, of Magnet Cove, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 in his home. He was born on June 28, 1959, the eldest child of Frank and Wanda Willix, who precede him in death. He graduated from Bryant High School, and lived in the home that he built in Magnet Cove. Obe was a loving and dedicated father to two sons, who survive him: Aaron, and his wife Allicyn, of Bonnerdale, AR, and Keith of Magnet Cove, AR. He is also survived by his siblings: Crystal Blankenship of Little Rock, AR; John, and his wife Chandra, of Little Rock, AR; and Daniel, and his wife Tammy, of Columbia, MO. Obe was an adoring grandfather to two grandchildren, Conner and Parker. He had three nephews, two nieces, and many other friends and family that he loved.
Obe loved to be outside. He spent countless hours rockhounding around the state, especially around his home in Magnet Cove. He had a massive rock and mineral collection, and loved sharing his knowledge. He also loved fishing and hunting, and enjoyed both activities with his sons, grandchildren, and friends and family. When he wasn't spending his free time outside, he also liked to draw and sketch. His art won several awards at local art contests, and is adored by many. 
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 19th at 2:00 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Malvern, AR. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
