Virginia Lea Obituary

Virginia Ray Lea passed from this world on Tuesday August 5, 2025, at age 91 in her Corpus Christi, Tx home. Virginia was surrounded by her loved ones.
She is survived by her daughter, Rita Lea Watson (Dan); and grandchildren, Wendy Lea Moilanen (Mike), Jessica Lauren Jones, and Dan Michael Watson Jr. (Kate).
Her great grandchildren, Ethan, Max, and Margot Moilanen and Alice Watson were by her side in her final days.
Daughter, Ruth Jones and beloved husband, Robert Wayne Lea await her spirit with open arms as she ascends to Heaven to be with the Lord.
Nancy Jewell Virginia Ray was born to Onie Walton Ray and Walter Lee Ray in Minden, LA.. She was raised near Tulip, Arkansas where she and Wayne spent their young lives growing up together.
Her late thoughts still took her back to "Tulipville" and the memories it held, small creeks, old bridges, and Wayne. Virginia and Wayne were married for 68 years.
They lived in Arkansas and Texas with their two daughters, Ruth and Rita. They loved summer travels together, camping across the western United States. Windows down, listening to Marty Robins was a perfect afternoon on the highway. A woman with her dreams fulfilled was loved and understood by those who knew her.
Romans 5:1-5
The ashes of Virginia and Wayne Lea will be buried in Tulip Cemetery Tulip, Arkansas in the Fall.
