Cosmo D'Eredita Obituary

Cosmo E D'Eredita 86, peacefully passed away Dec 19th, 2020 at the Vermont Veterans Home, Born October 26th, 1934, son of Anthony D'Eredita and Dorothy Sembrat, he grew up in Syracuse, graduating Syracuse High School, Cosmo entered the Air Force in January 1955 where he worked as a Jet engine mechanic, stationed in South Africa. He was honorably discharged in 1959, while in Syracuse he was married to Ruth Kimpel and had 3 daughters Robin D'Eredita, Cheryl Walker and Sandy Yates.

After his divorce Cosmo moved to Manchester Vermont in 1967 and married Gertrude Walsh and they had two daughters Trudie Parker (Kirsten) and Angela Wood (Dillon, Rachael).

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Gertrude, Children, siblings Theresa (Paul) Elmstrom, Sister-in-Law Patricia D'Eredita, Mary (Brian) Sallisky, David Mattison, Cathy Mattison, and Robert Mattison.

He was predeceased by his daughter Cheryl and Husband Michael Walker, Brother Richard D'Eredita, Nephew Peter Elmstrom, Niece Kimberly D'Eredita as well as several aunts and uncles.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no funeral services at this time. A celebration of Cosmo's life will be held at a future date.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Vermont Veterans Home, Special Olympics Northshire, Israel Congregation of Manchester, or Adirondack Save a Stray Corinth NY.
