Ernie: our condolences to you and your family. How well I remember meeting Vida and you at the Dorset Field Club when you first started vacationing here. Vida was so regal, stoic and above all friendly. Her struggle with an insidious disease has ended and she has entered into eternal rest. she will surely be missed by all fortunate to have known her. Fondly Mike & Barbara Powers

Dear Ernie Ashley and I are so sad for you and your family losing
valiant V. So brave, so tough living with the inevitable, she stands
out in our minds as a pillar of loving strength and warm. She was
extraordinary these past few years as her illness kept advancing and
she kept fighting, coming to church with a big smile, an avatar for us
all who have yet to face what she went through. Our deepest
condolences and hopes that you will continue to be in our lives in
Vermont and the Chapel. You may know that Joanie Madeira died recently
here, a staunch supporter of the Chapel and Zions She and V are now
happily united with warm memories of all their friends here. With much
warmth and great respect for her and you, Hoyt and Ashley
