Allan Wayne Pierson, 70, of Mount Olivet, Kentucky died Thursday morning, March 27, 2025 at his residence.
Born September 7, 1954 in Manistee, MI, son of the late Merle and Marguerite (Northrup) Pierson. Allan was a 1972 graduate of Manistee High School. Upon graduation he immediately went to work at Morton Salt where he would spend the next 44 years until his retirement in 2016.
Allan enjoyed spending time with the many good friends, relatives and family he had. He also enjoyed being a Parrot Head for many years going downstate numerous times for weekends of music, fun, and festivities. He enjoyed traveling, having gone through numerous states and enjoying each one on his many different journeys. He also enjoyed many campfires with family and friends here in Manistee and Kentucky. He loved to go to Magoon Creek with his best friend and cousin, Janeen. They enjoyed sitting in their chairs with their toes in the water while their dogs swam in the lake. Allan liked to cook and would often serve up delicious meals.
In addition to his parents, Allan was proceeded in death by his sister and husband, Lynn and Ken Pete.
Survivors include sister Janice (Jack) Bjorkquist, niece Lillian (Tyler) Coe, niece Kendra Mallison (John DeRosia Jr), great niece Taylor (Andrew) Becker, nephew Matthew Mallison, and niece Amy (Jason) Glover.
Per request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. in the basement at The American Legion. 10 Mason St, Manistee.
