Elaine M. Adamczak, age 90 of Manistee, Michigan died Wednesday morning, January 31, 2024 at Green Acres Assisted Living Home in Manistee, Michigan.
She was born on July 10, 1933 in Manistee, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Edward and Blanche (Zywacki) Gutowski. She married David "Nitters" Adamczak on August 25, 1951 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee. He preceded her in death on November 6, 2017. Elaine enjoyed spending her time baking and was well known for her puff.
She was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish (St. Joseph Catholic Church) in Manistee, and a member of the MCC Moms Club, while the club was in existence.
He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Janet M. Czarnecki and Jean & Tim Krause all of Manistee, three grandchildren; Jessica Czarnecki of Manistee, Laurinda Krause of Manistee, David Czarnecki of Midland, MI, two great grandchildren, Abigail Rose Sell of Manistee, MI and Declan Edward Czarnecki of Midland, MI.
She was preceded in death by her husband David "Nitters" Adamczak her parents, Blanche (Zywacki) and Edward Gutowski, and her son-in-law, Dennis A. Czarnecki.
Private family graveside services were held Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Manistee, with Reverend Mitchel Roman officiating.
Elaine's "Puff" Recipe (choc or vanilla)
1 c. water
½ c. oleo – 1 stick – boil; add the following;
1 c. flour
4 eggs one @ a time – spread on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake @ 400 for 35 minutes, break any bubbles that form
Mix:
12 oz. pkg. of cream cheese
3 c. milk
3 pkg. French vanilla instant pudding. Spread on cooled crust. Top w/cool whip, Hershey syrup and nuts.
