Kayla Outman Obituary

Kayla Lynn Outman
Manistee, MI
01/23/1990 - 02/14/2025
Kayla Lynn Outman gained her angel wings surrounded by family and friends in her childhood home on February 14, 2025, after a long and courageous fight against metastasized breast cancer.
Kayla, age 35, was born on January 23, 1990, in Manistee, MI. She is survived by the love of her life, Brett Adams; and their beautiful daughter, Madelynn Mae; stepdaughters, Nevaeh, and Zoey; her parents, Jerry and Barb (Breen) Outman; sisters and nieces, Kim (Blake Lange and Kaylynn), Angie (Brianna, Carly, and Alexis); and her grandma, Nancy; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and best friends that meant the world to her.
Kayla was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alfred and Marguerite (Plouhar) Outman and Joseph Breen.
She graduated from Manistee High School in 2008. Her career interests included speech therapy classes at West Shore Community College, housekeeping at Manistee National Golf and Resort, housekeeping then registration at West Shore (Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital), a beauty school student at Cadillac Institute of Cosmetology, baker, cook, and mother to Maddy (her favorite role).
After fighting breast cancer the first time, Kayla became an advocate in promoting early check-ups, looking for signs, and to know your own body. Kayla's love of party planning, baking and doing hair helped in raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness with her amazing coworkers. Peanut butter cupcakes anyone?
Kayla kept her positivity and laughter through it all, she was truly humbled by the love and support she received from her coworkers and the whole community.
A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, March 29, 2025, 2 to 6 p.m., at Aki Community Center, Manistee.

Every time I encountered Kayla she always had a big smile and nice words to tell everyone she met. I Am so glad I knew Kayla and I’m sure she will sadly be missed.

Kayla, you are one of the kindest and most loving persons I have ever nown. Your smile, which was often shown, was so beautiful and genuine. I never heard you say an unkind word about or to anyone, you never fell into office gossip. You always looked for the good in people. You were beautiful, talented, smart and had such a beautiful spirit. I really miss you sweet lady

Kayla, you were so loved by everyone who knew you. You were the one of the most caring and kind people I have ever met. We are so lucky to have had you in our family. I am grateful you are no longer in pain, but my heart hurts that you are no longer here with us. I will always be reminded of you every time I make cookie dough (and eat it all before I can make the cookies). ♥ Love you so much Kayla.

There are not enough words to express my feelings about Kayla. She was one of the kindest, most caring individuals I have ever met. She always tried to find the good in others and in every situation. She loved her family deeply. She has left a lasting impression in Manistee and will be greatly missed.
