Marc was a loving, loyal, generous husband, parent, brother, businessman and friend with a great knack for always putting people first. He consistently demonstrated great care and compassion for those in need and out of this awareness, Marc found respectful ways to help them with his own time and resources. A multi-talented and gifted man, he used his natural gift as a creative problem solver in many ways. He was a tenderhearted man with a respectful and thoughtful way of encouraging anyone he came in contact with.

He also worked in sales for Dupont Corporation in Grand Rapids, Michigan. From there he was Vice President of Cello Foil in sales after which he decided that as an ambitious man of action his better career path was that of an entrepreneur and owner of his own business. In 1985 he started Marco Harbor Packaging in his garage. This successful business, which he considered his life's legacy, now has more than 50 loyal employees, that will miss their respectful leader.
In his spare time Marc enjoyed boating, fishing, music, and entertaining. He especially enjoyed watching his son perform his music locally.

Marc was a high school classmate. I was in Naples and on a whim I texted Marc to see if he was available for lunch. We met at Ridgeway and reminisced and caught up with each other. Unfortunately M.J. Was feeling poorly and was unable to attend. The Naples couple my husband and I were visiting ended up purchasing a golf cart from Marc’s son. Our friends were impressed with their purchase and the customer service.
Acting on whims is sometimes a good thing.

My brother known as Butch when we were growing up and Marc after he went to college, was always ready with a joke or story. I had to be on my toes when in conversation with him since he was so quick witted. He would readily listen and challenge my thoughts and positions on various topics. I will really miss those times.

I am grateful that I was able to know Marc. Our friendship resulted from our mutual love of wine and from our mutual friends who love wine. My encounters with Marc were always in a festive setting. He was a great joy to have around. A very humble man for all the successes he enjoyed in life. Truly a gentle soul. He will be missed. May you rest in peace my friend.
