Sandra K. Ekholm, age 75 of Manistee, passed away on Monday December 11, 2023, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan.
Born on October 1, 1948, in Manistee, Michigan, Sandra was the daughter of the late Carl and Margaret (Gutowski) Krusniak. She attended Manistee Catholic Central and Manistee High School, graduating in 1966. Sandra married Kenneth Ekholm on August 20, 1970, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee.
Sandra enjoyed spending her time cooking, knitting, gardening, sailing, and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughter Kendra (Eric) Mikolajczak; son Brian Ekholm; brothers Bob (Sandy) Krusniak and Jim (Brenda) Krusniak; sister Kathy (Mark) Cramer; grandchildren Lauren and Derek Mikolajczak; her aunt Ceil Krusniak; and many other family and friends.
In addition to her parents Carl and Margaret, Sandra was preceded in death by her brothers Gary and Todd Krusniak.
A Celebration of Life/BBQ for Sandra will be held this summer.
