Terry Arthur Beard, 64, of Manistee, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at Tendercare of Ludington.
He was born on Dec. 12, 1952, in Keene, New Hampshire the son of Doris L. (Hatt) Beard and the late Dr. Leonard D. Beard.
He was a 1971 graduate of Manistee High School and received a Bachelors Degree from Michigan State University in 1977. On Sept. 6, 1975, he married his high school sweetheart Cynthia E. Edmondson at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Manistee.
Terry had been employed by General Dynamics Land Systems Division as a mechanical engineer for 25 years. He loved antique snowmobiles, collecting, building, and attending shows.
Survivors include his wife; Cynthia E. Beard and his mother; Doris L. Beard both of Manistee,mother-in-law; Jean Edmondson of East Lake, sister-in-law; Karyn (Jeff) Zeiter of Attica, Ohio, brothers-in-law; Keith (Jackie) Edmondson of East Lake, and Bryan (Missy) Edmondson of Manistee, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law; Earl Edmondson.
Memorial Services for Terry A. Beard will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at 11 a.m. at The First Congregational United Church of Christ in Onekama with Reverend William Morris officiating.
Memorials in Terry's name may be directed to Homeward Bound or the First Congregation UCC in Onekama.

Bill and I were deeply saddened when I received a phone call today that Terry had left us. Steve Landon let us know and we are so thankful. Otherwise we probably wouldn't have known about it.
