Audrey Laser Obituary

MT.VERNON: Audrey L. Laser, 86, of South Mount Vernon
Avenue, Loudonville, died Monday, March 23, at her home after a brief illness.
Mrs. Laser was born February 10, 1923 in Huron County, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Vera L. (Strimple) Smith. She had lived in Loudonvile since 1966 moving from rural Perrysville. She was a 1941 graduate of Greenwich High School. She was a homemaker and had worked in the dietary department of Kettering Hospital for 12 years, retiring in 1985. Audrey was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Perrysville, the American Legion Auxiliary, and Ashland Chapter Order of Eastern Star. On July 4, 1942 she married J.A. Ray Laser and he died January 12, 1998.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Jean A. Bowen of Butler, Emily (Rob Liebhart) Laser-Liebhart of Perrysville, and Carla L. (Roger) Fagin of Millersburg; 3 sons, Eric J. (Lisa) Laser of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, Sid T. (Marina) Laser of Kansas City, MO, and Brian R. (Penny) Laser of Cumberland Center, Maine; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert O. Smith of Shiloh; and 2 sisters, Verna Rae Ross of Warren and JoAnne Marvin of Plymouth. Besides her husband, she is preceded in death a daughter, JoAnne Laser, her parents and a sister, Jean Wolf.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31 at 11:00 am in St. John Lutheran Church, Perrysville, with Rev. Roy Godfrey officiating. Burial will be in Loudonville Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 pm in Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville. Online condolences may be sent at www.byerly-lindsey.com .
