Edna Romine Obituary
MANSFIELD: Edna Mae Romine, 82, of Mansfield passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness.
Edna was born May 27, 1930 in Putnam County, West Virginia the daughter of Herschel and Bertha Mae (Doss) Carte and was graduated from Hannan High School.
For 32 years, Edna worked for Hartman Electric.
She enjoyed flower gardening and loved everything that included angels. From ceramic figurines to wall hangings, Edna loved to be surrounded by "her" angels.
Edna looked forward to Tuesday evenings where she seldom missed attending the Country Gospel Jam, played at the Wyandotte Senior Center.
Family was most important to Edna and she loved spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters and one son, Linda (Roger) Doty of Springfield, Brenda (Tim) Parrish, Mike Romine, and Kimberly Henry all of Mansfield; grandchildren Dale, Brian, Scott, Bobby, Kristy, Stevie, Jed, Jessica, Carla, Craig, and Brittany; 26 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way; brothers Dennis and Buck Carte and sisters Clara Hammond, Mary Gillispie, Elma Orr, Helen Corns, Lois Thomas and a special sister Audrey Bigelow; numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Romine, and brother Ivan Carte.
Her family will receive friends, Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Earl Tackett and Chaplain Alden Thibeau will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
