Janet Marie Stotts Crowl

Mansfield - Janet Marie Stotts Crowl, 82, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021.

Janet was born on June 1, 1939 in Lucas, Ohio to Howard and Marie Stotts.

Janet graduated from Lucas High School. She was a nature lover and enjoyed spending time outdoors. She loved her early morning walks around her property. Janet loved all of God's creatures, especially her horses, dogs and cats. Some of her fondest memories were of riding horses in the countryside around Malabar Farm where she grew up, with her cousin and lifelong sidekick, Joyce Leiendecker.

Janet is survived by her husband, Edwin D. Crowl, whom she married July 25, 1959. She is also survived by her son, Kevin (Janice) Crowl; her brother, Howard (Mary) Stotts; her sister, Diane Smith; her sister-in-law, Linda Crowl (Carl) McNew; her grandchildren, David Arnett, Amy Hunter (Bryan) Holder, Andy (Cathy) Hunter, Chloe Crowl, Matt (Mindy) Demyan and Rachel Demyan; her great grandchildren, Dailyn Arnett, "special great granddaughter", Kylie Arnett and Jacob and Logan Demyan.

Janet is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; and numerous close friends, fishing friends and racing friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Marie Stotts; her brother, Donald Stotts; her sister, Patricia Wilson; her brother, Terry Stotts; her brother-in-law, Jack Smith; and her beloved daughter, Jodie Marie Crowl Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, David and Mary Crowl; and her sister and brother-in-law, Retta Crowl Mellick and Russell Mellick.

There will be a gathering from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice.
