Willie McCruter Obituary

Willie Lee McCruter, Jr.

MANSFIELD: Willie Lee McCruter, Jr. age 88, transitioned on January 4, 2016 after a short illness.

Longtime member of Oasis of Love (formerly Greater St. John C.O.G.I.C.) and he retired from Ohio Brass Company after 39 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Inez McCruter, Sr.; wife of 66 years, Ella Bell McCruter; sister, Adell McCruter-Tabbs; half siblings, Bertha Lee McCruter and Willie "Bill" McCruter.

He leaves to cherish his memory loving daughters, Gwendolyn (James) Alexander, Rita McCruter-Jones, Patricia "Bonnie" (Bishop William) Morris, Jr. all of Mansfield, OH and Ketha McCruter-Nash of Columbus, OH; sisters, Mabel McCruter Taylor and Inez McCruter both of Mansfield, OH; grandchildren, DeMont D. Jefferson, Heather (Jason) Petty, Chantee' (Sherman) Wilson, and Jessica L. Alexander; great-grandchildren, Diego R. Jefferson, Nicholas P. Wilson, and Jason M. Petty; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Family and Friends will be received at the home of daughter, Rita Jones Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 6pm until 8 pm. Home-going Celebration 10 am Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Oasis of Love 190 Chester Ave. Family will receive friends from 9 am until time of service. Interment Mansfield Cemetery.
