CAROL A. BENISH

Carol A (Hook, Gastoni) Benish Age 71, of Grass Valley, CA, passed away on July 5th, 2013 after a courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer. She was born June 11th, 1942, in San Rafael, CA, and was the daughter of Robert Hook and the late Verna Hook. She is survived by her husband Russell Benish of Grass Valley; father Robert Hook of Nevada City; sons David Gastoni; Vincent Gastoni; his wife Leslie; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings Judy Reels, Mike Hook, and Marty Miller; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held August 10th at 3:30 PM at the Nevada County Horsemen's Club-house, 10600 Bubbling Hills Road, Grass Valley, CA 95945. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Sutter Auburn Faith Hospice, 11775 Education St., Auburn, CA 95602.
