Dolores Seymour Obituary

Dolores Priscilla Seymour Our beloved TuTu, passed peacefully after a full and joyful life on March 22, 2016 at the young age of 80. Daughter of Josephine and Alfred, beloved wife of Bruce Seymour, cherished mother of Robert (Heidi), Robin (Nick) Mattos, Rebecca (Richard) Elliot and Richard (Millie); beloved grandmother of Tiffany, DuJuan, Nick, Krista, Richard, Ryan, Rachel, Caitlyn, Cody, Jacob and Alyn; great-grandmother of Jade and Jemma. Dearest sister of Bill Castillo, Ray Castillo, Kathy Staats and cherished Aunt to Sharon and Donna. The list of additional family and friends could fill this page. TuTu touched so many with her kindness and with her adoring deep love. Predeceased by her brothers Joseph and John, and her loving husband of 54 years, Bruce. She was a great Mom, full of personality, joy and charm. She grew up in Denver, CO where she met and married her husband of 54 years. They relocated to California and have resided here ever since. Dolores was a magnificent Mom and after she finished raising her children, Dolores went to work for Macy's at the Clinique counter and most recently was working at the Courtland Library, where she made many new friends and enjoyed working with the children and families from Bates School. She was an active member of Saint Joseph's church, and in her spare time she loved to spend time with her family, reading, travel, sewing club, listening to music, an avid sports fan, Bunco and Bridge, and social clubs. Our loss is impossible to convey, our sorrow too great to overcome, we love you and will miss you TuTu. Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11:00am at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, 32890 S. River Road, Clarksburg, CA 95612. Remembrances may be made to Saint Josephs Catholic Church or Friends of the Courtland Library. To sign the online guest book, please visit: www. harryanauman.com

Dolores was one of my fondest memories and acquaintances from my time working at Weinstocks/Macy's (1990-2002). She was a dear friend to my mom (Marilyn Lovejoy) and by extension to me as we shared stories, laughs and crazy experiences at the store. TuTu will be dearly missed. Now she and Bruce will be together again. Blessings to you all.

Dolores was a member of the Glenwood Guild of Sunny Hills back in the day. Always a bright, cheerful person we enjoyed her company and the time she spent volunteering with us. Our condolences to her family.

My wonderful friend from our employ at Macys. We had so much fun working together. She is fondly remembered by my daughters, Charlene and Lori. Lori had two girls, my granddaughters (Staci and Janel). Tutu always put little bit of lip color on them when they were toddlers. So many fond memories. God Bless all of you as you celebrate a very special person. Sincere sympathy. Marilyn Lovejoy
