Douglas G. Tierney Douglas G. Tierney, 59, of Pennsylvania, previously of Marin County, died October 19, 2017 at his home. He was a Worker's Compensation Supervisor for Patriot National Risk Services. He enjoyed golfing, coaching, and spending time with family and friends. In the past, he was a member of the Lower Allen Parks and Recreation Board and a member of the Harrisburg Claims Association. He also enjoyed his position as a key member in the Kid's Chance organization. With this organization, Doug helped provide scholarships and other assistance to kids whose parents had been killed or injured in a work-related accident. He was born December 22, 1957 in Ridgewood, NJ to the late Justin and Jean (Daly) Tierney. Doug was raised in Kentfield, CA and was a graduate of St. Anselm Elementary School and Marin Catholic High School. He served as Student Body President at Marin Catholic in the 1975-76 school year. He was also a graduate of San Jose State University. He is survived by a daughter, Allison E. Calderon (Daniel) of Camp Hill, PA; son Patrick T. of Mechanicsburg, PA, brother, Justin Tierney (Joan) of Sacramento and ex-wife Elizabeth D. Tierney of Camp Hill, PA. Friends, classmates and teachers are invited to attend a Celebration of Doug's life on Sunday, January 21 at 1:00 PM at San Rafael Joes restaurant, 931 Fourth Street, San Rafael.
