Elin Modjeska Obituary

Elin Modjeska passed away peacefully at her home in Mill Valley on August 13, at the age of 88. She is survived by her sons Michael (Nathalie) and David (Natalia), her grandchildren Camille and Maxime, sister Jane (Bob) and their children, and her many dear friends. A proud graduate of Antioch College, Elin was a psychotherapist, educator, peace and women's rights activist, docent at the Asian Art Museum, world traveler, committee leader, and friend to the community. She is defined by her free will and never-ending drive to create her own path and assist others generously along the way. A celebration of her life will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Marin in Terra Linda (Oct. 29 at 12:00 noon). In lieu flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made in Elin's name to Planned Parenthood, an organization to which Elin was deeply committed.

Our sympathy to Elin's friends and family. We knew her professionally but had a friendship as well. She was a caring, kind, and patient woman.

Sending sympathy to Elin's family and close friends. My husband and I saw Elin professionally. She was a lovely, patient, and kind lady. We enjoyed her sessions immensely. RIP sweet Elin
