Eric Todd Miner

1966 - 2016

Eric Todd Miner Passed away unexpectedly in Oakland on August 21, 2016. Born in San Francisco on Oct. 13, 1966, Eric lived his childhood and teenage years in Marin County where he hoped to someday reside again. He attended Marin Academy and Terra Linda High School and graduated from Wasatch Academy in Utah. After a stint at Santa Rosa Junior College, he had a successful career in the custom door industry. He worked for different companies including Feather River Doors and Westgate Hardwoods in Chico and Liberty Valley Doors in Cotati, as well as owning several companies of his own throughout the years, the last being Lassen Ridge Door & Glass. During this time, he also was commissioned to create beautiful stained glass pieces in many homes and businesses throughout California and beyond. Eric was truly a craftsman in stained, leaded and etched glass. He was passionate about so many things: his kids, cooking, good wine, love of outdoors (especially the beach), the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Oakland A's, the Warriors, tennis, skiing, scuba diving and music. Eric raised his family in Chico and is survived by his beloved children Jordan and Dylan, his wife Julie, his mom, dad, grandma, uncles and aunts, and cousins. In a private family ceremony, Eric's ashes will be scattered in the ocean fulfilling a lifelong desire to swim with the sharks on his 50th birthday. Eric's sense of humor, his beautiful blue eyes and bright smile, and warm caring heart will sorely be missed. A hike and celebration of Eric's life will take place at Tennessee Valley Beach in Marin on Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
