Eva T. Pieri

Eva T. Pieri Our mother, Eva T. Pieri led an exuberant 90 years of life. She was born in Cloverdale, California on February 26, 1916 to Asunta and Attilio Ballati. She was one of seven children. She moved to S.F., North Beach at the age of 13. Eva later moved to Asti, CA working for Italian Swiss Colony. She was invited by S.F. to pour the first glass of wine to Mayor Rossi the day prohibition ended. She returned to Healdsburg, CA after living in S.F., Oakland, and San Anselmo. She is survived by her two sons, Ray Raffaini of Santa Rosa and Dan Pieri of San Anselmo, her sister Annie Catelli of Healdsburg, her grandsons Dean Raffaini (Brownlee) of Novato, Steve Raffaini (Susan) of Sonoma, Rick Raffaini (Corrine) of Healdsburg, Matt Pieri, Buffalo, NY, Spencer Pieri of San Anselmo, and eleven great grandchildren. Her love for gardening, paralleled with her love of cooking. She cooked often for large gatherings of family and friends. Our mother had a unique way of expressing herself. If we asked her to describe her life in one word, that word would be "DELICIOUS." Thanks Mom, Nonna, for teaching us the love of life and family.
