Howard Bloom Obituary

Howard R. Bloom Passed away peacefully at home on November 9, 2013, in Terra Linda. Third generation San Franciscan, born August 19, 1924. Howard was married to his beloved wife Natalie for 41 years. She passed away January 7, 1988. Survived by loving daughter Lynn, her son Nathan Howard Diger (Michelle), son Stacy Bloom (Nancy), Leslie, Katie and Scott. Also survived by his brother Ernest Bloom (Pearl) and their three sons. Howard served in the Army in WWII, in the African Middle Eastern Campaign, including the Battle of the Bulge and the Liberation of Buchenwald. A perennial movie student at College of Marin. A life member of Fidelity Masonic Lodge #120 since 1947. A member of S.I.R.S. #7 and Goldenaires. Howard was an usher at Marin Veterans Auditorium where he met many people who became personal friends. A special thank you to Tirisa Matanisiga, Dr. Rebecca Sudore and Hospice by the Bay. I am so sorry to learn of Howard's passing. I first met Howard when he and his lovely wife attended the Marin Opera's Valentine Gala. Howard was always a very sweet and dear man. I will remember him in my prayers.

To Howard's family: Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Howard was very special to my son and I. I met him about 20 yrs. ago at the antique show. He has watched my son grow up who is now 23. He will be truly missed and was and is very loved.
