Louise Sciutti Obituary

Louise "Jetta" Sciutti May 3, 1913 March 3, 2016 Louise "Jetta" Sciutti passed away peacefully in San Rafael, on March 3, 2016, just two months short of her 103rd birthday. Her loving husband, "Papa" Fred Sciutti, predeceased her in 2007 after a happy marriage of 71 years. She is survived by her children, Ray Sciutti and Jeanne (Adolph) Capurro; her grandchildren, John (Sandi) Capurro, David Capurro, Stephen (Rose) Capurro, Lisa Lasley and Laurie Sciutti; her great-grandchildren, McKenna, Trent, Alex, Daniel, Sofia and Joseph. Her granddaughter, Christina Sand (Duane), predeceased her in December 2015. Born in Nice, France, "Jetta" immigrated to the United States with her family at age 6 months and has been a Bay Area resident her entire life, including San Francisco, Sonoma and Marin Counties. In the last few years she experienced a wonderful and loving community at Nazareth House that brought her much happiness. In her later years she faced and conquered cancer twice, rarely faltering with her indomitable spirit and good sense of humor. "Jetta" loved her family, as they loved her, and particularly looked forward to those evenings when she felt well enough to dine out and sip a Manhattan. She is now at peace with "Papa". Her family is so grateful for the gifts of both their lives. United once again, may they dance with the angels. Funeral services were private.
