Marilyn Kincaid Obituary

Marilyn Dean Kincaid Passed away following a long illness. "Merry Lynn" as she was known to some was born in Chicago Illinois and was the only child of Lorraine and Neal T. Dean. She spent the first 13 years of her life in Palatine, Illinois, and then moved to California where she spent the remainder of her life. She lived in Marin County for 25 years. Before meeting and marrying her only husband, Marilyn was an understudy at the San Francisco Opera Company. As well as being an artist, musician, avid cat-lover, voracious reader, fluent in six languages, Marilyn worked for the City of Mill Valley for 16 years. She is survived by her daughter Melanie Kincaid Carlson, her foster-daughter Erica Robertson Ball and her life long family friends Bruce Johnson and Victor Carrera. Marilyn's parents preceded her in death in 1976, and 2001. Memorial contributions may be made to The Chico Cat Coalition.
