Patricia Pankin Obituary

Patricia L. Pankin Died peacefully, May 11, 2016 after a long battle with dementia, which never completely robbed of her good cheer. Born March 31, 1930 to William R. and Lucile Wilson in Albuquerque, NM, Patricia grew up in Des Moines, Iowa then moved to San Francisco in 1942. Her first marriage to Don Ervin ended in divorce, she was predeceased by her second husband, Sidney Pankin. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Ervin (Cona), Susan Wisseman (Stan) and Marc Pankin, and by her grandchildren -- the joy of her life -- Stacy Ervin Laslett (Jon), Sarah, Scott, and Amy Wisseman, Matthew, Liam, and Ava Pankin, and great granddaughter Lucille Laslett. A resident of San Rafael since 1967, many will remember her as the longtime owner and proprietor of Gay's Doggie Salon (1980-2000). She took great delight in her clients and their people. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 26, at noon, at First Presbyterian Church, San Rafael, 1510 5th Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, or an animal rescue group.
