Sean Barry Obituary

Sean Barry Age 64, passed away on January 19, 2017 from complications following injuries suffered in a fall. Sean was born in Trenton, New Jersey on July 14, 1952 to John J. and Betty (Bodell) Barry. He attended Holy Ghost Preparatory School and then Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where he met his wife Barbara (Thayer) Barry. After graduating and marrying on August 3, 1974, Sean and Barbara moved to San Francisco, where Sean received his law degree from Golden Gate University. He worked for the firms of Pelton & Gunther and Carbone, Smoke, Smith, Bent & Leonard, where he was employed at the time of his death. Sean and Barbara loved to cook and entertain and were known for their Kentucky Derby and Christmas tree trimming parties. Sean will always be remembered as a kind, caring, wonderful person a true gentleman who was loved by his friends and respected by his colleagues for his fairness and honesty. He is survived by Barbara Barry, his wife of 42 years, sister Keelin Dorpalen Barry, brother Christopher Barry, nephew Liam Dorpalen Barry and niece Galen Dorpalen Barry. Donations can be made to the Marin Humane Society in his honor. At this time, no services are planned.
