Suzanne "Sue" Sweeney

1940 - 2022

Sue passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 31, 2022 at the age of 81, ending a six year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Sue was born August 10, 1940 in Yonkers, New York to her parents, Charles and Loretta Sweeney. After graduating from Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers, she moved to California in 1967, settling in San Francisco, near her older sister Lori. Sue enjoyed living and working in The City and had a long career as a secretary and office administrator in the brokerage industry. She moved to San Rafael in 1990, where she lived until 2020, then moved to a memory care community in Southern California. In retirement, she shared her time volunteering with Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Sausalito Art Festival, and Bloom Marin (formerly Dress for Success). She enjoyed golfing, exercising, flowers, dogs, chocolate chip cookies, wine, her many friends, and her family. Sue is survived by her niece Nancy (Linda) and nephew Mike (Erin), along with four great nieces and a great nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister.
