Terrence Molloy Obituary

Terrence V. Molloy A resident of Novato, passed away peacefully, at age 75, on May 18, 2015. He was receiving treatment for leukemia at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the eldest of three sons of Melrose and Harold Molloy. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering, and obtained his MBA from California State University, Hayward. Terry was a devoted husband, a beloved father, a loyal friend, an accomplished professional, and an avid Rotarian. He is survived by his wife, Betty; his three children, Scott, Erin, and Angela; his five grandchildren, Mitchell, Allyson, Evelynn, Maxwell and Bradley; and his two brothers, Dennis and Greg. He also stayed in close contact with his extended Italian family on the East Coast. Terry was strongly committed to his family and friends. He had many hobbies that included sailing, golfing, skiing, traveling, and cooking. Terry's professional achievements include over 45 years as a Mechanical and Control Systems Engineer with PG&E and as a consultant of his own business, C.M.E.S. He was a past District VP of The International Society of Automation (ISA). Terry was also very active as a Rotarian for over 20 years, was a past President of the Rotary Club of Terra Linda, and was a current member of the Rotary Club of Marin Evening. One of Terry's greatest strengths was his ability to analyze and solve problems and evaluate opportunities. He practiced these in every aspect of his life, professionally and personally. But more than anything, Terry was a great person who always put others ahead of himself. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten by his loved ones and friends. Friends and family will gather for an intimate ceremony celebrating Terry's life on June 7. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Rotary Foundation in his honor.
