Albert E. Barnard

MARION: Albert E. Barnard, age 70, of Marion, passed away peacefully at Heartland on December 6, 2014 after his 2 year battle with Multiple Myeloma Cancer, with all of his family close by his side.

He was born in Sicily, Italy to the late Earl J. Barnard and Tersea (Renta) Barnard on July 30, 1944. He graduated from Pleasant in 1963. Went to Marion Technical College. Albert retired from Whirpool Inc. after 40 years. His hobbies included computers and old cars. Albert married Linda (Sparks) Barnard on June 4, 1966.

Albert is survived by his wife, Linda Barnard (Marion); son, Michael Barnard (Marion); and grandson, Billy James Barnard (Indiana).

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Karla Jo Barnard; and his parents, Earl J. and Tersea Barnard.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Doral Sharp, Sr. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:30 A.M. to time of service at 1:00 P.M. Online condolences to the family can be made at www.boydbornfuneralhome.com

I graduated with Al Bernard in 1963, but had not seen for over 50 years. If I remember right he had a great sense of humor and always treated everybody with respect. He will be missed by family and friends.
