MARION - Bertha Lynn Haley, age 81, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at her residence.
Bertha was born in Wellston, Ohio on April 15, 1936 to the late Herman (Bill) and Adda Viola (Bennett) Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, James Greenhill and a sister, Bonnie Saar.
Bertha will be missed by her son, William (Carol) Haley of Rochester, NY, her daughters, Vickey (Kevin) DiFede of Rochester, NY, Sue Anne (Thomas) Groves of Marion, OH, and Cindy Ippolito of FL, her brother, Herman (Sarah) Phillips, Jr. of Chicago, IL, her sisters Billie Compston of Marion, OH, Judy (Bill) Garris of North Carolina, and Patty (Willie) Evans of Kirkpatrick, OH, twenty grandchildren, forty six great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren .
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. On-line condolences can be expressed to the family at: www.boydbornfuneralhome.com.

I will truly miss you, I loved you as my sister. You helped raise me from a young boy and am glad that you were part of my life. I have so many fond memories of our time together, you always had the most positive outlook on life and was always a joy to be around making sure that everyone was happy always smiling and laughing no matter what was going on. Oh the memories of our time together throughout our family and friends I will cherish forever. I am so thankful for your inspirational attitude towards life and brought so much joy to being around you. I loved you and I will miss you for all the days to come. Thanks for being such a wonderful person and a sister to me.
