Daniel Tidd Obituary
Marion - Daniel Lee Tidd. age 65, of Marion passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021, at 10:46 PM at his residence. Dan was born on March 17, 1955 in the Marion General Hospital to Claude Tidd Jr. and Margaret (Phelps) Smith. His mother survives in Prospect, OH. He attended Pleasant Schools and graduated from Pleasant High School. Dan worked at the Marion Power Shovel Co. and retired from Con Agra. He suffered from lung disease for the past few years.
Dan was a kind and gentle person. He loved his family and his faithful dog "Annie" who was always close by his chair. He also loved his special "Mustang". He truly enjoyed playing poker with his friends.
Dan was married to the former Beverly Kerr. He is survived by his mother; Margaret Smith, 2 children; Kevan Tidd & Kristina Tidd, and 2 step sisters; Karen Smith & Robyn Littell. Dan has 5 special grandchildren; Brooklin, Weston, Wyatt, Kase, & Kolten. He was preceded in death by his father; Claude Tidd Jr. and a sister; Susan Tidd.
A private viewing will be held on Monday, January 25th, for family members. Pastor Joel Fetter will conduct a public graveside on Monday in the Prospect Cemetery at 1:00 PM where all are welcome. The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Kindred Hospice, American Hospice, and Marion General Hospital Hospice. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Tidd Family.

We send our thoughts and prayers for strength and healing to Dan's family. Although over the years we grew apart it goes without saying we have many fond memories of our friendship with Dan. He had an infectious laugh, a big heart, and at times full of mischief but that is what made him Dan. We are so very sorry to hear of his passing.
