David Ulbrich Obituary

David Todd Ulbrich II

MOUNT GILEAD - David Todd Ulbrich II, age 39, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, July 12, 2021. David began his journey on August 27, 1981 in Marion, Ohio and was the loving son of Brenda (Jordan) Ulbrich-Roe and D. Todd Ulbrich.

David was full of life from the beginning with his red hair and spunk. If you knew him he was always into something. He was always the life of the party and made people laugh. He had lots of hobbies as a kid such as fishing, golfing, and collecting baseball cards. He was able to talk his dad into opening a baseball card shop called the "The End Zone" which they enjoyed doing together. He spent many summers fishing in New Jersey with his dad and grandparents as well as fishing with Grandpa George at Candlewood Lake. He later bought his first house at Candlewood Lake so that he could live around water and enjoy fishing on his boat. He loved his house and his gentle giant, Maverick.

David adored his Momma Bear and his two sisters. They had an inseparable bond that could not be broken. He was lucky enough to gain an amazing step-dad which became his best friend and fishing buddy. He had lots of friends that he considered brothers: Brent, Joel, Brien, and his neighbor Josh.

His family plans on honoring his wishes by spreading some of his ashes on Kentucky Lake at sunset.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Brenda(Jordan) Ulbrich-Roe and Rick Roe; his sisters: Erica Ulbrich Logan and Jennifer(Jeremy) Ulbrich Wishon Yager; step-brother, Zach Roe (Angel Marero); his nieces and nephews: Taylor, Logan, Hannah, Carter and Hudson (Little Huddy Buddy); his grandmother, Barbara Ulbrich; Aunt Peggy Hinton; and Uncle Douglas Ulbrich.

He was preceded in death by his loving father D. Todd Ulbrich and grandparents: George and Sara Jordan and Donald Ulbrich, and Uncle Bart Ulbrich.

Services will be observed privately by his family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's honor to Marion Area Counseling Center, 320 Executive Dr., Marion, OH 43302.

I remember David, and you and Todd, and your little family there on Mt. Vernon Ave. You couldn't miss David with his fiery red hair and his energetic spirit. I remember when you lost Todd, way too early, and how it impacted David.
I remember many conversations David and I had about life and loss.
David was a blessing and he will never be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to you and Rick and David's sisters and extended family. Judy Kuhn
