ANN OREAR Ann Theresa Orear, 76, of Grand Pass, MO, died Friday, October 25, 2024, at The Living Center in Marshall. She was a beloved wife, mother, and "Grannie Annie". Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall with Fr. Francis Doyle officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Grand Pass, MO. Prayer service will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home with visitation following until 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church or Missouri Right to Life. An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com Born July 29, 1948, in Lexington, MO, she was the daughter of the late George Henry Ruehter and Julia May Stedem Ruehter. Ann was raised in the Lexington area where she was a 1966 graduate of Lexington High School. On May 30, 1975, she married Robert Michael "Mike" Orear who survives of the home. Ann lived in the Lafayette and Saline County areas her entire life and worked as the Santa Fe Elementary School secretary in Waverly for 27 years. She was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall where she served as a Eucharistic minister, sang in the choir, a member of the Altar & Rosary Society as well as the Daughters of Isabella. Ann was also involved in the Grand Pass community where she had served as the mayor and city clerk. In addition to her husband, Mike; she is survived by three children: Michelle "Shelly" Twiggs (Steven) of Higginsville, Andrea Lacey (Philip) of Osage City, KS and Robert Daniel Orear (Helene) of Hayden, ID; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Ann was preceded in death by all nine of her siblings: Katherine Jindra, George Ruehter, Frank Ruehter, Virginia Sorenson, Mary Riley, Dorothy Barnett, John Ruehter, Edward Ruehter and Jim Ruehter.
