CYNTHIA LAMPARTER Obituary

CYNTHIA "CINDY" LAMPARTER Cynthia F. "Cindy" Lamparter, 68, of Platte City, MO, formerly of Marshall, MO, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by family at the time of her death. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Marshall, with Dr. Alan Branch and Dr. Mike Parris officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the church. Private family and close friends will gather for graveside services on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka, KS. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church in Marshall in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com Born February 23, 1956, in Charleston, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James Edgar Greer and Gloria Jeanne Baker Greer. Cindy was a 1974 graduate of Topeka High School. On February 13, 1988, she married David F. Lamparter who survives of the home. She had lived in Marshall since 1997, moving to Platte City in October of 2023. She worked as the administrative assistant to the director of the Saline County Career Center in Marshall for more than 20 years. Cindy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marshall and was a devout Christian; spreading the word of Jesus was very important to her. She enjoyed being active outdoors, including flower gardening, hiking and biking. She also enjoyed socializing, dancing and antiques. Being together with family, whether it be celebrations, family meals or vacations, was very important to her. She was adventurous and loved to travel and visit new places. Survivors include her husband, David; four children, Ben Huhs (Danielle) of Hutchinson, KS, Jessica Anderson (Bret) of Platte City, Andrew Lamparter of Springfield, MO and Austin Lamparter (Tayler) of Parkville, MO; seven grandchildren, Bailey Powers, Jake Huhs, Spencer, Payton and Erin Anderson, Hallie and Lila Lamparter; one great-granddaughter, Rylee Powers; five siblings, Mara Sipe (Kevin) of Topeka, Janet, Judy, Carla and Rusty of South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by one daughter, Kelli Huhs.
