RONALD STANLEY Obituary

RONALD STANLEY Ronald Robert Stanley of Marshall, MO, formerly of Laclede, MO, passed away at his home on October 6, 2025, at the age of 92. He was born on January 29, 1933, in Laclede, MO. Ronald was the son of Walter Stanley and Lucille Reed Stanley. He grew up alongside siblings Meredith, Dick, Beverly, and Bill, sharing a childhood rooted in family, faith, and small-town values. After graduation from high school in 1950 Ronald worked as a Machine Operator at the Sunflower Ordnance Works in DeSoto, KS, from 1951-1953. He was drafted into the army during the Korean War and served as a radar specialist until 1955. He later opened gas stations in Laclede and Brookfield, MO. He was married in 1958 to Jean Lark of Laclede. Ronald and his family moved to Marshall in 1972. He worked at Banquet Foods until starting his own businesses painting houses and buildings, insulating, cleaning air ducts, and owning several rental properties including a duplex that he built. He appreciated hard work. Ronald's devotion to his faith guided him throughout life. Ronald is survived by two daughters, Donna Maxwell (David) of Jefferson City, MO, and Cheryl Stanley of Overland Park, KS. Ron's family also includes stepchildren, Brent Bouge (Julie), Nickie Bouge Halpin (Josh), Keith Glenn (Sherri), and Angie Glenn. He was "Papa" to grandchildren, Keegan Glenn (Brooke), Jessie Glenn, and Eli Glenn Fors. He enjoyed spending time with family and always made himself available whether to tackle a home project or simply share conversation. He was preceded in death by wives, Teresa, and Mary Ann; his parents, Walter and Lucille; brother, Dick Stanley (B); sister, Meredith Day (Rex); and sister-in-law, Karen Stanley. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Doolin officiating.
