SHON DODSON Shon Everette Dodson, 53, of Marshall, MO, died Friday, November 7, 2025, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Family and friends are also invited to celebrate Shon's life at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Montague's Restaurant in Marshall. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to RTD Ministries and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com Born August 8, 1972, in Zanesville, OH, he was the son of the late Everette Dodson and Antoinette "Tony" Fasano. On March 12, 1997, he married Angela Mickelbart who survives of the home. Shortly after graduating from high school, Shon joined the United States Army and served his country as a military police officer and retired from the 14th Military Police Brigade at Fort Leonard Wood. During his 21 year career in the Army, he earned many awards, badges, citations and campaign ribbons as well as taking numerous military education courses. Shon was honorably discharged on April 30, 2013, having attained the rank of Sergeant First Class. Shon furthered his education with Drury University where he earned his bachelor's degree in secondary education. In his continued calling to serve and protect, Shon attended the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy and then served as a trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Following his graduation from the academy, he was appointed to serve in Saline County where he and Angela moved to in 2014. After leaving the highway patrol he was employed by the United States Department of State in contract security in Afghanistan and worked until he was diagnosed with cancer and was no longer able to work. Shon was a Christian and knew he was going to Heaven because of what Jesus had done in his life. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Marshall. Shon had a profound impact on numerous lives, and many have reached out the last several weeks to let him know how much they appreciated what he had done for them. In addition to his wife, Angela; he is survived by three children: Rebecca Sheremeta (Alex) of Chicago, IL, Alexandria Barr (Kameron Davis) of Phoenix, AZ, and Artalle "A.J." Dodson of Ft. Hood, TX; one grandson, Cassius; three siblings: Jason Dodson, Wendy Starlin and Jared Dodson, all of Ohio; as well many other family members and friends.
