Gary Lee Nelson

1952 - 2020

Gary Lee Nelson, 67, passed away on March 24, 2020. He was born in Holyoke, MA on April 8, 1952, the son of the late Warren and Jeanne (Morin) Nelson. He attended local schools. He was a chef and a baker at several restaurants in San Francisco. He also lived in Hawaii for a time where he became, one with nature, and marched to the beat of his own drum. He had a great sense of humor, was kind, loved the Lord, exotic animals, cooking, and crocheting blankets, scarves, and hats for his family and friends. He was a member of Morning Star Community Baptist Church in South Hadley, MA. He is survived by his siblings: Warren Jr. (Susan), Thomas, John, Lisa Starnes (Rev. Paul Starnes) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncle, and his dearest "Jingles". He was pre-deceased by his brother David and his sister Vicki.
