Judith "Judy" Velthuis, 80, of Attica, Michigan, died Monday, May 22, 2023 at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital of Lapeer, Michigan.
Judith Ann Hall was born August 3, 1942 in Berkley, Michigan. She is the daughter of the late Donald and the late Mary (Wilson) Hall. Judy grew up in the Berkley and Clawson, Michigan, areas. She is a graduate of Clawson High School, Class of 1960. She married Jacob "Jack" Velthuis, Jr. on Oct. 23, 1965, in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Judy and Jack lived in Troy, Bloomfield, and Rochester, Michigan, before moving to Attica in 1972.
She was mostly a domestic goddess. Judy was employed as a key punch operator/data entry by General Motors for five years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting with friends at the Pincushion in downtown Imlay City, quilling, and was an avid reader. She really disliked modern technology and the internet.
Judy is survived by her husband, Jacob "Jack" Velthuis, Jr. of Attica, Michigan; sisters, Judith (Eric) Settle of Missouri and Mary Jane Johnson of Clawson, Michigan; her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald & Mary Hall; and her brother, Donald Hall, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held at noon Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm, Kentucky with Darrell Venters officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Jerome Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm.
The Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, Kentucky, is in charge of arrangements.
