Troy O'Connor Obituary

Troy Allen O'Connor, 61, of Mayfield, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at U of L Hospital in Louisville.

He was of the Catholic faith, a retired welder, and a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by two brothers, Michael O'Connor of Sanford, Florida and Jerry O'Connor; four sisters, Karen (Van) Burnett of Mayfield, Rhonda Adams of Mayfield, Diana Rockwell of Hickory, and Denise Diaz of Calvert City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbie O'Connor; two brothers and two sisters.His parents were, Joseph M. O'Connor and Ann Jean Hayden Grooms.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Wilson Hall in Mayfield. A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. at the church. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #26.

Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
