Darrell DeAtley Obituary
MAYSVILLE– Darrell "Shag" DeAtley, 53, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
He was born April 10, 1969, in Maysville, to the late Harold R. and Dorothy Shields DeAtley.
Darrell worked at Doug's Glass and Glazing for several years before owning and operating his own business, Shag's Glass, in downtown Maysville. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tina Miller DeAtley; two sons, Matthew DeAtley and Wesley (Ashley) DeAtley; one granddaughter, Brinley, and another granddaughter on the way; his siblings, Stacey (James) Harmon of Maysville, Barbara (Steve) Payne of Aberdeen, OH and Harold Richard DeAtley of Maysville; his mother-in-law, Gail Miller; his brother-in-law, Buck Miller; his nieces and nephews, Brandon Payne, Natasha Love, Amber May, Ashley Waters, Bradley Cropper, Austin DeAtley, Madison Miller, Abigail Miller, Conner Werline, Gracie Miller, Xander Harmon, and Maddie Harmon; several great-nieces and nephews; and his little buddy, Tyson.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Brell and Son Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
