MAYSVILLE — Jacqueline Lee Ray Zweigart, age 86, of Maysville Ky, widow of the late Robert Gordon Zweigart, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a prolonged illness.
Mrs. Zweigart was born on August 3, 1937, in Lexington Ky to the late Walter (Jack) Ray and Lorene Hammond Ray.
Mrs. Zweigart was a long standing member of Maysville First Presbyterian Church.
As a homemaker and long time resident of Maysville, Jackie was active in many local groups and organizations over the years.
She is survived her brother, Walter Herbert "Herb" Ray (Vicki) of Waddy, Kentucky; her son, Steven R. Zweigart (Barbie) of Maysville, Kentucky; daughter Suzanne Lee Zweigart of Park City, Utah; Granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Zweigart-Hoover (Brandon) and three step great-grandsons Triston, Chandler and Sterling Hoover, all of Newburgh, Indiana; step-grandson John Ashley Catron (Amber) and step great-grandson, Avery Wells Catron, all of Richmond, Kentucky; Her step-granddaughter Chloe Richardson, of Brooklyn, New York; step-granddaughter Cheyenne Simonds (Brett) of Holly Ridge, North Carolina; Nephew Ted Vimont of Lexington, Kentucky, Niece Nancy Strickland (Joe) and great niece Kimberly, all of Louisville, Kentucky; Nephew Scott Ray (Laura) and great niece, Eliza, all of Park City, Utah; Nephew Brian Ray (Kate) and great niece and nephew Tallula and Finlay, all of Kingfield, Maine; nephew Jeremy Ray (Lauren) of Washington D.C..
Arrangements will be handled by Knox and Brothers Funeral Home with services being held at Maysville First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. with funeral services immediately following at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maysville First Presbyterian Church or to the charity of one's choice.
