Virginia Rottinghuas Obituary

AMELIA, Ohio — Virginia Tolle Rottinghuas passed away on Oct. 6, 2025. She was born to the late Gus and Iva Tolle on Feb. 21, 1941, in Maysville.

Virginia was also preceded in death by siblings Emerson, Milton, Rebecca Colvert, Allene Parker, Duane, Ned, Bill, Frank, Jerry and Bonnie Jean Perraut.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Charles Rottinghaus; siblings, Donald and Ronnie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Virginia was one of those special people who could light up a room just by walking into it. She was friendly and lovable, with a heart that seemed to have endless room for everyone she met. Always ready with a warm hug and a kind word, she had a way of making people feel cared for and valued. Her giving nature touched many lives and her gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all who were lucky enough to know her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at Saint Thomas More from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Virginia will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Yesterday

So sad to hear of Ginny´s passing. We were school mates at Lewisburg years ago. Believe in the 5th grade she was injured during a recess softball game and missed several mths of school. She was meant to live a long fulllife and we´re happy to have been a small part of that growing up.
Rest well Ginny, we remember you
