FLEMINGSBURG — William "Bill" Patrick LeForgee Jr., 76, of Flemingsburg, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at UK Medical Center.
Born in Mason County on January 7, 1946, he was the son of the late William P. LeForgee and the late Mary E. DeLong LeForgee.
Bill worked for the Kentucky State Highway Department in the construction division for 30-plus years. He enjoyed farming with his family and surveying. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He attended the Poplar Plains United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his two sisters, Mariem LeForgee White of Batavia, Ohio, and J. Willas Gray and husband, Norman of Flemingsburg; his niece, Oneida Carol Gray Souder and husband, Rick of Flemingsburg; his nephew, Carl William White and wife, Ashley of Batavia; his four great-nieces, Madison Sloane Souder, Riley Elizabeth Souder, Nora Evangeline White, and Quinn Rose White; his great-nephew, William Lincoln White; and his faithful cat, Dee Dee, always at his side.
In addition to his parents, William and Mary, he was preceded in death by his uncle, Jessie Lee LeForgee; his great-niece, Elizabeth Helen White; and his brother-in-law, Alan White.
A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the Fleming County Cemetery with Rick Souder and Bro. Dean Brewer officiating.
Pallbearers include Kirk McKee, Johnny Colgan, Melvin Klee, Rachel Catchings, Terry Ishmael, Tony Carpenter, Carl White, and Tommy Carpenter. Honorary pallbearers include J. W. Denton, Anthony Connors, Paul Ford, J. B. Chamberline, Norman Gray, and Dean Brewer.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m., until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home, who is caring for Bill and his family.
