It is closing on one year now since the loss of one of the most wonderful people I have ever encountered. I think of you all the time Allie. Each day I try to live my life and be as beautiful in my demeanor as you were to every person you came in contact with. You taught me so much. You were such a pleasure to work with, and you have helped shape my future dramatically. I wish you would be here to see what turns I have taken, but I know you can see me. I talk to you all the time. You are still so sadly missed. I personally know that you will be sadly missed forever, but one day I'll see you again. God Bless you and all of your loved ones. Keep an eye out for all of your family. With all of my love and rememberence,

To everyone that has been touched by Allie, I worked with her at Lonestar steakhouse and let me tell you she was always speaking her mind. There were little things that would make her mad and she would tell you about it. Thats why we all loved her. And those things that made her mad in the past we try not not to do today. Like empty glass racks... Allie knows what I am talking about. I will miss her.. We did plant a tree for her outside of lonestar in her memory and also we are getting a platt w her name for the tree.... Thats how much she made a impact on us...We loved her and still do... Shes in good hands...

We love you

Dear family and friends of ali

I was sad to hear of her passing she was kind hearted loving person that I know we will all miss. I attend school with her my whole time growing up I found her to have a happy spirit she was always enjoyable to be around. I will miss her and I regret that, I was unable to attend her service. My prays are with her and her family during this difficult time.

I just found out about what happened last night. It hit me even harder when I found out that I missed the services held in her honor. I am so sorry to all that hold Allie close to their hearts like I do, especially the family. I can imagine what it's like to lose such a wonderful part of your life so suddenly. I had several classes with her throughout Jr High and High School. She was always there for me and I only wish to do the same for those she left behind. With love and sympathy...

Tina,

I read your entry for Allie, and I just want you to know that you are right. Allie wasn't afraid to voice her opinions in a kind way. I had 3 classes with her at PSU-LV, and she was one of the sweetest and happiest people I knew. She will be forever remembered and missed.

My name is Jacqui and I was a student with Alli at PSU LV. So many memories run though my head whenever her name is mentioned. If it's THON, Ace from the real world, or our awesome discussions in Soc class. Her amazing smile and outgoing personality will be missed at PSU LV always. I danced the THON for you Alli and you'll be in my heart through all my efforts as the Chair of THON at PSU LV and in my heart forever.

Tina and James,

I have only the fondest memories of allie, all of them make me smile at how young and carefree we were.I remember going to lake walenpulpack with your family about 14 years ago!! Her and i had this bright idea to paint rocks, and sell them by the road. We did make about $7!! I remember us saying "horsefeathers" that entire weekend, and getting mad at james because we couldn't ride our bikes to peacock point. I remember him saying he didn't have to have anything to eat because he was drinking hot water, watching "hook", reading on the hammoks and altogether just having fun. I can remember that weekend so well because allie made it something to remember. There was also this one time we took a walk in the woods by my house and we made a pact to scream as loud as we could if we saw a spider..we were such silly girls. We drifted apart after elementry school, but i'm glad that the memories i have of her are innocent and fun. She really was a great friend, and everyone who knew her, even if it was only a short time will miss her, and think of your family often.

good luck in your healing, may you have all the support you need.

You are an amazing sister that I am thankful to have had, truely an asset to our family, and a good friend as well. You were always there for me when I needed, no matter what. I guess it came natural for you to genuinely care about others. You will always be there in my heart. Every day I am remembering your smile and all the fun times we had together. I love you and will greatly miss you. Rest in peace.

I am deeply saddened and hurt that such a wonderful and beautiful person was taken so young and so fast. I love Allie with all my heart and I will miss her deeply, my only girl cousin, and now she's in the hands of God.I pray for her and all of my family and yours, and I hope one day it will be a little easier knowing she's in God's hands and is safe away from pain and suffering, but nothing can ever take the memory of allie away.Stay strong for allie's sake, I truly believe she would want that. I will forever remember Allie.

To The Downing Family,

I often wonder why god chooses to take the most precious of our beloved young people? I am still perplexed! Although I'm sure the "Almighty" has his reasons.

What I do know, is what I have seen with my own eyes and that is a truly loving and caring and giving family who never once gave up hope on a miracle that was just not {so sadly) to be.

Tracey, you gave so much heart and soul to this valiant effort that I can only express my unequivocal admiration of your love and devotion to this beautiful Allie of yours. I am "SURE" that your devotion & Love sustained Allie through her terrible ordeal.

Those of us who were witness to the suffering of this wonderful family have been moved immeasurably by the Love and compassion displayed in stoic humility while attending to Allie in every possible human way.

God Bless and keep you all.

"All the world's a stage and we are merely players."

William Shakespeare couldn't have said it better. God placed people upon this stage as crew members, others as cameos, and some as leading roles. Allie was a leading role on this stage we know as Earth. Her admirable character, wonderful charm, and prominent friendliness all let God cast her as the star of the show. Throughout her life, the good and the bad times, Allie remained strong and faithful to her friends and family. I knew Allie only as an acquaintance, from around school, but was drawn towards her upbeat character and amazing amiability. I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to Tina, James, friends, and family for the loss of Allie. She was a truly amazing woman that took this crazy stage by storm and showed that no matter how long your career of living is, by acting with happiness and acceptance to all, you will make a wonderful impact on all that you come in contact with. God bless you, James and Tina, and Allie who rests among eternal love in Heaven."

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. Always remember, Allie never lost the the battle. She Won the fight. She made it safely home. I know how difficult it is to let go of someone you love, but God will help you all through these difficult times. The next few days, weeks, months and years will be hard for all of you, just remember to keep on thinking of and smiling for the wonderful memories Allie has given each one of you..

I would like to share a little poem with you. Hope it is comforting:

Last night while I was trying to sleep,

My daughter's voice I did hear

I opened my eyes and looked around

But she did not appear.

She said "Mom & Dad you've got to listen,

You've got to understand

God didn't take me from you,

He only took my hand

When I called out in pain that night,

The instant that I died,

He reached down and took my hand,

And pulled me to his side.

He pulled me up and saved me

From the misery and pain

My body was hurt so badly inside,

I could never be the same.

My search is really over now,

I've found happiness within,

All the answers to my empty dreams

And all that might have been.

I love you and miss you so,

And I'll always be nearby.

My body's gone forever,

But my spirit will never die!

And so, you must go on now,

Live one day at a time.

Just understand-

God did not take me from you,

He only took my hand.

Tina, James(brother)and family,

Leo Buscaglio tells a story of a little boy who wandered into an elderly neighbor's garden one day soon after his beloved wife's passing. When the mother found her son in the man's lap, she was concerned he was interrupting the old man's mourning. She asked her son what he was doing there. The child answered, "helping the man cry." Please know that all of us who love you and your dear Allie are helping you cry. Also know this, those who touch our lives, live FOREVER within us. Wishing you comfort and peace. Thank you for sharing Allie with us all.

Allie was blessed though out her life with parents who loved her dearly and helped her to become the beautiful person she was.

The glow of Allie’s life has shined on all of us and made us better for having known her. She was a special person whose smile could light up a room and bring joy to those around her.

She also was blessed with a heroic man who loved her and stayed by her side when she needed him most. I marvel at Josh’s strength and will always remember and appreciate the love he gave to Allie.

My heart goes out to all of you on the tragic loss of such a beautiful girl, both on the inside, as well as the outside. Please know that we at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bowmanstown, will be keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. Also know that God held a place in His Heaven for Allie and she is now rejoicing in the comfort of his loving and caring arms. You will all see her again one day and will rejoice in a homecoming beyond all understanding. Keep your faith and hold on to that and our Good and Gracious Lord will see you through this trying time.

With sincere and deepest sympathies,

Although I didn't know Allie well I did have the pleasure of her acquaintance...the only consolation to this is that it has served as a buffer to my deep saddness over her passing. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her entire Family, her Boyfriend, her Friends and all who Love her...please just sign me an admirer of her beauty and courage
